GREEN TECH

Green Technology has made huge inroads in recent years as people get more and more interested in environmental issues and the conservation of the world's resources. Green technology is first and foremost concerned in issues of sustainability, of technologies which work in symbiosis with the earth's systems and do not exploit them. There are many examples of the different types of technology that are intertwined with the issues of sustainability, however most people think of alternate or renewable energy as the most prevalent example.

Other technologies can be categorized by where they fit in the life cycle of energy conversion; those involved in renewable energy at a source level, those involved in energy conservation at the level of use, and those involved in waste reduction and management in a post usage environment. Some examples of these different systems include wind and solar power at the source level, new and efficient transportation and building technologies at the usage level, and recycling, waste management and treatment at the post usage level. All of these areas work together, and with some of these industries growing at a very fast rate, they are sure to have a huge impact on the world of
tomorrow.
